Upload files to an Internet server in less time.
As of late, it has become more and more common to use
file storing services that allow
direct download. It is also very common that instead of sharing files using peer-to-peer to use sites like
Rapidshare or uploading dozens of
files to Facebook, and taking this into account, a plug-in like
Fireuploader is perfect when it comes to uploading big file batches.
Also known as
Firefox Universal Uploader or
Fire/Universal Uploader, this extension will allow us to connect with sites like
Rapidshare.com, Photobucket, Mosso, Box.net,
Flickr,
Picasa, YouTube,
Facebook, Webshots, Omnidrive, SmuMug, SmeStorage, Google Docs, Snaphappi, Adobe Share and Slideshare. Not all of them are direct
download site, there are also photo and video sites. The important part to cover is to upload various files, some of which me be rather large.
Fireuploader will let us
simultaneously upload files to as many server as we want, and as many files as we choose, something that is generally impossible and you have to upload one file at a time. Furthermore, the
interface is very simple to understand (similar to an FTP client) and it provides us with lots of information that a lot of the compatible sites don't offer, like the amount of data uploaded or the amount of space we have left.
It also has the option to
configure premium accounts for those services that have this possibility.
